New Programs

Scottsdale Boomerz' mission is to create and cultivate opportunities that allow baby boomers to maximize their contribution to society. This includes encouraging businesses to offer flexible work alternatives, non-profits to design meaningful pro-bono opportunities, and communities to fully capitalize on boomers' talents, energy, wisdom, and experience. Within this framework, What kind of programs and services would you like Boomerz to offer?
Are there issues not being offered by other providers that you wish we would offer?

  1. Hi Cindy, My name is Eric Beauford and I am located in Houston, TX. I came across your blog through a google search. I recently joined a new web site venture and I believe our offering might be somethinng that could assist you with your mission of connecting Baby Boomers with companies that are looking for their level of skills and experience. If you would like to learn more about what we are doing, please feel free to contact me at ebeauford@cachinko.com and let me know when might be a good time for you to talk.

    Thank you,

    Eric Beauford

  2. Hello! My name is Kimberly Kingsley and I'm the author of The Energy Cure: How to Recharge Your Life 30 Seconds at a Time. Larry, the Community Relations Mgr. at Barnes & Noble on Shea and 90th street is a member of Boomerz and encouraged me to check out the site. What a great organization! Being born in 1964, I believe I just missed being a boomer by one year. That is not to say that I'm not totally inspired by the whole generation though. I wrote a blog about babyboomers several weeks ago - please check it out!

  3. One thing I've done to supplement income is sign up to do an extra in film. You can do this for commercials, TV, training films, movies, etc. Some of the things you do free to get them on your resume. Recently, I got on and off and sat on a bus for 5 hours for $100. I made calls related to my work inbetween. So, I was paid $20 an hour to make my business calls. Some pay more and some less. Look into it. If your interested post something on the blog and I'll get in touch.
