Hi Cindy -- Although you already received one comment from a reverse mortgage person, I'd like to recommend my services also. I'm here locally in Phoenix and am a loan officer with Sterling Home Loans. I work with several lenders who offer reverse mortgages. I am a Gerontologist(and a Boomer) and I took care of my mother for 6 years until she passed last year. I would love to offer advice and resources once in a while. I just moved from Sun City, Az to Annapolis,Md. I would love to start a Boomers Club or something like that in this area but have no idea where to start! In the meantime, my sister told me about this site.

I also have experience taking care of aging and ailing parents. I work in the caregiver industry with caregivers and individuals needing care and their families. Planning is crucial because people do not have accurate (or any) information on the process and too often wind up waiting too long. There should be a good understanding of: caregiving/living options, how much that will cost, what position the individual and/or family have to afford each option, what kind of paperwork should be completed and where is it? and many others. I would love to work on a truly informative forum with some real-life examples of what worked and what didn't. Thank you.
